How My Body Reacted to 30 Days of Keto (The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly).

I’ve heard countless success stories about the keto diet, with people losing weight, feeling more energized, and even improving their mental clarity. Intrigued by the promise, I decided to try the keto diet for 30 days.

After the first few days of adapting to the low-carb, high-fat lifestyle, I started noticing some real benefits. One of the biggest surprises was the steady energy I felt throughout the day.

No more mid-afternoon crashes—my energy levels were consistent, and I didn’t feel the usual fatigue I often associated with sugar or carb-heavy meals.

Another positive outcome was the mental clarity. I felt sharper, more focused, and less distracted. It’s as if my brain was firing on all cylinders. And yes, the weight loss was real—by the end of the month.

I had shed a few pounds, especially around my midsection. I could see a noticeable difference in how my clothes fit, which was incredibly motivating.

The first few days were rough. I had headaches, felt dizzy, and generally unwell—this is what’s commonly referred to as “keto flu.” My body was adjusting to burning fat for fuel instead of carbs, and it wasn’t pretty.

Additionally, my cravings for sugar and carbs were intense, and I had to find ways to manage them. It wasn’t easy, but by week two, those cravings started to subside.

One of the less glamorous side effects was digestive issues—bloating and constipation were common for me in the beginning. I had to make sure I was getting enough fiber, which wasn’t always easy with the limited food options.
