Golden Mozzarella Sticks: Crispy Outside, Gooey Inside.

Mozzarella sticks are the ultimate snack, offering a crispy, golden coating that gives way to gooey, melty cheese with every bite. Perfect for parties, game nights, or indulgent cravings, these cheesy delights are easy to make at home and sure to impress.

Start with whole or part-skim mozzarella cheese sticks. Cut them in half for smaller, bite-sized portions, or keep them whole for a more classic size.

Place the sticks in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to ensure the cheese doesn’t melt too quickly during frying.

Prepare three shallow bowls: 1. Flour Mixture: Combine all-purpose flour with a pinch of salt and pepper. 2. Egg Wash: Whisk together 2 eggs with a splash of milk. 3. Breadcrumbs: Use seasoned breadcrumbs or panko for extra crunch. Mix in Parmesan cheese and Italian herbs for added flavor.

Coat each frozen mozzarella stick in flour, then dip it into the egg wash, ensuring it’s fully covered. Roll it in the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.

For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb steps for a double coating. Return the coated sticks to the freezer for another 15–20 minutes to firm up.

For frying, heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella sticks in small batches for 1–2 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. For air frying, preheat to 375°F (190°C) and cook for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway.

Serve the mozzarella sticks hot with marinara sauce, ranch, or garlic aioli for dipping. Crispy, cheesy, and irresistible, they’ll disappear in no time!
