Deandre Ayton Shines as Blazers Edge Suns in Thrilling Finish.

In a nail-biting overtime showdown, Deandre Ayton delivered a dominant performance to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 121-119 victory over the Phoenix Suns on February 3, 2025.

Facing his former team, Ayton played with intensity, posting an impressive 25 points and a season-high 20 rebounds, helping Portland extend its winning streak to four games

The matchup was a back-and-forth battle, with both teams exchanging leads throughout. Devin Booker, determined to make history, dropped 34 points and officially became the all-time leading scorer for the Suns.

Despite strong performances from Kevin Durant (27 points) and Bradley Beal (25 points), the Suns couldn’t close the game.

The Blazers, on the other hand, found crucial contributions from Deni Avdija, who scored 24 points before fouling out, and Ayton, who sealed the win with clutch free throws.

Traded from the Suns to the Blazers in the offseason, Ayton had something to prove, and he delivered in spectacular fashion.

His dominance in the paint and crucial plays down the stretch solidified the victory, giving Portland eight wins in their last nine games

With momentum on their side, the Trail Blazers are looking more dangerous as the season progresses. Can Ayton continue his impressive form and lead Portland to a playoff push? Fans will be watching closely.
