Anthony Edwards Leads the Charge as Timberwolves Extend Win Streak to Four.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on a roll, extending their win streak to four games with a hard-fought 121-113 victory over the Phoenix Suns on January 29, 2025.

Anthony Edwards was the standout player once again, putting up 33 points, seven rebounds, and five assists to spearhead his team to another dominant performance.

Edwards’ explosive scoring was crucial throughout the game, especially as the Suns mounted a comeback in the second half. His sharp shooting, combined with his ability to create plays for his teammates, kept the Timberwolves ahead.

Edwards’ leadership has been a driving force during this recent surge, showing why he’s becoming one of the top players in the league.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker played a key role off the bench, contributing 23 points and hitting critical 3-pointers during a 23-9 run in the third and fourth quarters that helped Minnesota pull away.

The Timberwolves’ depth has been a major asset, with contributions from multiple players helping them sustain their momentum.

Phoenix fought back hard, with Kevin Durant scoring 33 points and Devin Booker adding 28 points and eight assists. However, the Suns couldn’t stop the Timberwolves’ balanced attack, and the Timberwolves closed out the game with poise.

The game wasn’t without its drama, though. Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch was ejected in the third quarter after arguing with officials over a call, but his team responded positively, maintaining control of the game despite the disruption.
