2022-P Wilma Mankiller American Women Quarter : A Collector’s Guide.

The 2022-P Wilma Mankiller American Women Quarter is part of the U.S. Mint’s American Women Quarters Program, a series that highlights the contributions of notable American women.  

Wilma Mankiller, the first female chief of the Cherokee Nation, was featured on the 2022 quarter to honor her legacy in Native American leadership and advocacy. 

The reverse features Wilma Mankiller in a standing pose, with her right hand raised in a gesture of leadership and determination. 

The 2022-P Wilma Mankiller quarter was minted at the Philadelphia Mint, marked with the "P" mintmark. The coin is also available in proof versions produced by the San Francisco Mint (with the "S" mintmark) and special collector sets. 

The 2022-P Wilma Mankiller American Women Quarter is composed of 91.67% copper, 8.33% nickel, and is clad with a copper-nickel layer.  

Proof Coins (PR-65 and higher): Proof versions, which have a mirror-like finish, are more valuable than regular circulation coins. The higher the grade, the more valuable the coin. 

The 2022-P Wilma Mankiller Quarter is not as rare as other coins in the series, as it had a relatively high mintage. 

Wilma Mankiller was the first woman to serve as the principal chief of the Cherokee Nation, making her an influential figure in both Native American and American history.
